An important note on audition results:

We know that auditioning for anything is courageous. It means risking being disappointed. We commend you for taking the risk, and we recognize that it can be tough when results are not what you had hoped for. Below are two great articles about reacting to audition results realistically and productively. Please take some time to read and consider these ideas. Remember that disappointments can be temporary. You are all expected to be kind, professional, and team-oriented as we work together on this show. Let’s get to the singing, dancing, and acting and have a great time!

Asaka and Agwe Don’t Want us to Audition

Today, Monday, all after school activities are canceled after our 11:25 dismissal. (Argh!!) Nothing after school today.

So: Tomorrow, Tuesday, we will do dance auditions and callbacks, according to the plan below.

Dance auditions will be 2:30-4:10 on Tuesday. Please meet in Stretton Hall at 2:30, wearing clothes you can dance in (sneakers and clothes you can move in). All are called to dance auditions.

We will announce callbacks by 4:10 Tuesday. If you are not called back, you can leave on the first late bus at that point. If you are called back, you should be prepared to stay Tuesday and work 4:15 till 7:00 (though some will not need to stay that entire time).

The cast list will be posted Tuesday night. Everyone who has auditioned will be part of the cast.

Wednesday, January 10, everyone will be called for the Read-Through, 2:40-5:30. On Wednesday, we will give you a schedule for the following 2-3 weeks of rehearsals.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility, everyone. We will do this. Adversity makes us stronger! 🙂
